In its first phase of operations, one thousand million bottles a year will be recycled into food-grade resin at the new PetStar facility. This amount will be doubled in the second phase. The PetStar facility was built on more than 25,000 square feet of land in Toluca, in the State of Mexico, with an investment of 35 million dollars. PetStar now operates one of the world’s largest recycling plants, positioning Promotora Ambiental at the forefront of the recycling industry and making Mexico a pioneer in the field.
